Fluoride Varnish

Fluoride treatments have been an essential part of oral health care for quite a while because it has many benefits for our teeth. Fluoride is a natural mineral that builds strong teeth and prevents cavities.

Having a fluoride varnish will not only support healthy tooth enamel but it will fight off bacteria that harm your teeth and gums.

This treatment will be especially helpful if you are prone to developing dental cavities.

What to expect during a fluoride varnish treatment

The fluoride treatment will either be applied with a swab, brush, tray, or mouthwash, and it will only take a few minutes. These treatments contain much more fluoride than is in your toothpaste at home.

Your oral hygienist will ask you to avoid eating or drinking for about 30 minutes after the treatment has been applied so that it can be fully absorbed.
